: In the creation of the new network, we are building on our platform usmevpredruhych.sk, where we have dedicated ourselves to medically disadvantaged families. After a global gathering of innovators, there was a demand from other countries to extend the same crisis intervention option there as well. After three years of work, we have come up with optimized new tools that people will be able to use for everyday help - whether by connecting to experts and specialists, by connecting to other people with similar problems or by helping in their own neighbourhood and self-help. Just as Facebook is for sharing opinions, Instagram for sharing photos, LinkedIn for connecting across business and work, Socialeasator connects people in crisis and tries to help them through digital tools - so they can get out of a difficult situation as quickly as possible and live a fuller life as soon as possible.
: The centre is being set up as a response to the rise in mental health problems among people, tensions in society and the lack of leisure activities for children and young people. We are inspired by the so-called „Icelandic model„. In the 1990s they were in the second hundred in the world in the happiness index. There has been a high increase in mental health problems in youth, a tendency to alcoholism or drugs. The government changed its strategy, focusing on building sports and leisure centres, building community centres. Today they are in the top 3 on the happiness index. In layman's terms, just as when we used to meet in playgrounds behind the house in our childhood and were able to make friends with children from different social backgrounds, nowadays children are divided into the elitist - who go to clubs and meet their peers there - and those from socially disadvantaged backgrounds who live in close-knit communities. In schools they are grouped together on the basis of their friendships and the barriers are increasing. The Smile Centre will be an inclusive space open to all - a place where children, young people and adults can spend their free time. On a 2500 m2 plot of land, a building will grow up to serve as a community space, a space for the provision of social services - a day centre for the medically disadvantaged, counselling for people in crisis situations... Within the exterior we are building playgrounds - children's and multifunctional, areas for meeting, education and healing. The centre is to serve as an inspiration for other towns and cities. We want to bring people together, so we believe that the project has the potential to become a franchise and may one day be in your area. But first we need to thoroughly complete the first one, let it be a nice model. :)
: Behind these projects is Dominika, who was born in 2016 to Veronika and Miro Béres. She was diagnosed with a rare condition - Cornelia de Lange genetic syndrome. Dominika has missing upper limbs, also missing toes, hearing impairment, central visual impairment, stunted growth, eating disorders, reflux, slowed psycho-motor development, impaired communication and other diagnoses. This motivated the parents to start the Genetic Syndromes Project, where mom, a doctor, and dad, a journalist, gradually described several hundred genetic syndromes and created the Smile for Others platform where families with a disabled member could network and help each other. Later, they created a team of specialists - doctors, physiotherapists and other specialists who helped the families. They established an entity called Smile for Others, under which they also ran other activities to help people in need. The platform has received more than 1.5 million visitors and they have been working with 1,400 families with a disabled member for a long time. The fact that they have experienced difficult crisis situations motivates them in that today they are interested in helping further and thus extending a helping hand beyond the borders of Slovakia. You can help them and the whole team to do so.
: Yes. We have our own fundraising portal and thanks to our partner - the payment gateway Trustpay - we do not pay any extra fees to any third party. So all the money goes directly to the development of the planned projects - the social network and the planned centre - and the expenses that go with them.
: The money is intended for the development of the platform and the completion of the centre. The civic association took a loan of 400,000 euros, which paid for the land and building for the centre and its partial reconstruction (250,000) and the IT system for the social network Socialeasator (150,000). The money is needed for the completion of the infrastructure within the centre (multifunctional and playgrounds, educational spaces, interior and exterior equipment - about 500,000 euros) and for the expansion of the social network to the whole world (IT support, translations in 20 languages, optimization of the system (500,000 euros)). We have calculated that we can help one person with 5 euros - if many people join together, 5 euros will help either a future visitor to the centre or the availability of the social network in his/her locality. In addition, when the system is launched, we will launch a 'bursary' - from just five euros we will be able to subscribe people who can't afford it to free counselling. In this way, you too can become a helper in your region for people in need who are unknown today. If one day you find yourself in a crisis situation, there will be people who will help you. So we are creating an ecosystem of help that you can be a part of.
: Money sent through the portal is „treated“ as Donations - so by law it is not subject to taxation due to its public benefit. In the case of companies doing business in the Slovak Republic that would like to include the expenditure in their accounting as a tax deduction, there is the possibility of using so-called Charity Advertising. : All financial donations for are processed in euros. However, your bank will convert the amount from your bank - so it can also be sent in the national currency.
: Once the transaction is complete, your post and your message will appear in the scoreboard (assuming you have not chosen to remain anonymous). As a reminder, Socialeasator is a positive, solution-focused campaign and we reserve the right to remove donation messages that contain links, spam, or otherwise offensive content.
: To see your donation in the „TOP Contributions“ section of the results table, you will need to make one donation with an amount that exceeds the lowest amount displayed at that time. Unfortunately, individual donations cannot be combined to achieve a higher value.
: We can launch a version with country-specific language versions for Europe, America and Australia when the goal is reached. Gradually we will also incorporate other language mutations of Asia and Africa. Thanks to the unique system, we can turn on and off specific tools in specific countries, so the community-oriented ones can be available everywhere from the day of launch.
: The experts in the consultancy teams are proven professionals with years of experience, their guidance will be comprehensive and we will also work with references and feedback, for peer review. Each doctor or specialist will go through a reference and verification process with each one before they enter our database of counsellors. We want to work with professionals who will be able to give informed answers.
: If plans come to fruition, the first version will be available at the end of 2024. Our team started working on the Socialeasator project in February 2022.
: Yes. The app will be created for both Android and iOS operating systems. There will also be a web version.
: If you have had or experience a life event that affects you medically or socially, you will get a helping hand in difficult situations. At the same time, you can get to know other people who have been through a similar situation. While supporting the project, you will also be able to choose a reward of your choice. Last but not least, you will become part of a large self-help community and be at the birth of projects with a great social impact. I believe that being part of a global positive change is an attraction for you too :)
: All funds received will be audited and properly accounted for in relation to the project being set up.
: Once the campaign is completed or the first target is met, which is 100,000 euros. The tangible reward will be sent physically, while the rewards related to the Model Social Services Center will be presented at the opening of the center.
: In addition to donating, there are several ways to help. The best way to support this initiative is to tell other people about it - we want everyone to know about the project that is being set up. When you see videos or social media content in the world that relates to the project do us all a favor and like / vote / hare / comment. If you want to take a step further, you can create your own content. Be generous in your attention and help keep the message going strong.
