XXX syndrome (also called superfemale) is a chromosomal variation in which there is one extra X chromosome in each cell. Most affected women are phenotypically normal, but they may experience reduced IQ, reproductive issues (delayed onset of menstruation during puberty, frequent miscarriages, premature menopause), and taller stature. The condition occurs in approximately 0.005% of women.
