General
Ayazi syndrome is a very rare and practically unknown congenital disorder that primarily affects the sensory organs. The cause of the disease is unclear; it is presumably a genetic disorder.
Symptoms:
The syndrome manifests with congenital deafness, obesity, and visual impairments. The visual problems are largely caused by progressive degeneration of the choroid and retina. The choroid and retina are located in the eye — the choroid is rich in blood vessels and is responsible for nourishment, while the retina processes visual stimuli and sends them through the nerve to the brain.
Treatment:
Since this is a congenital disease, there is no way to prevent the syndrome or successfully cure it.
